For security reasons, we cannot release a combo to an unknown individual. However, you may contact an Amsec registered locksmith or dealer to verify ownership.
How much will it cost to have a locksmith come to my house in order to get the combo or code for my safe?
The charge will depend on where you live. If you have your original sales receipt, try contacting the company you purchased your safe from. They may be able to help you at a discounted rate.
Where can I find my safe’s serial number?
Your safe’s serial number can be found at the front of the safe near one of the four corners.
The door on my safe makes a squeaking sound when I open or close the door.
The hinges on the safe door may need to lubricated. On smaller safes, you may use a spray lubricant. Larger safes will need to be serviced by a locksmith.

FAQs on ESL 5 Locks
My keypad is only responding to “C” or “C” and 1 number.
Rotate the ESL 5 keypad counter-clockwise and lift off the base. Unplug and then replug the lock cable. If this does not solve the problem, please contact an authorized dealer.
How long will the battery last in my safe?
On average, a typical battery should last one year, but your battery’s lifespan may vary depending on how often you access your safe. We recommend changing batteries annually.
How do I know if I have a low battery?
If the battery is low, the keypad will slowly flash with no keypad input. If the battery is dead, there will be no response to keypad input.
What type of battery do I need?
Duracell or Energizer 9-volt alkaline batteries.
When I enter my combo, either nothing happens or I hear a faint click. What do I do?
